Young remarks upon the pause: "The word TD~TT (at the end of verse 1) is separated from what follows by means of the disjunctive accent Re bhi,a, and so we are to let our thoughts dwell upon it before passingon to (what follows)". The fact is also referred to by Jamieson, Fausset and Brown in their "Commentary: Critical, Experimental, and Practical", Collins, Glascow 1871, Vol. 1, Gen. - Deut. , p. 3: "In many Hebrew MSS there is the usual mark of a pause".
